Fashion retailer Zara has selected the St David’s shopping destination in Cardiff for the opening of a new regional concept store. Due to launch this summer, the 36,500 square foot shop will be situated on the centre’s Upper Grand Arcade opposite a new shop for Morphe Cosmetics, which will be opening around the same time.
The Zara store will offer the brand’s full range of menswear, womenswear and accessories over two levels. The new store format includes omnichannel retail integration with an automated collection point for customers to pick up purchases, as well as self-service and dedicated refund tills.
St David’s has also seen Hollister relocate to an upsized 12,100 square foot store further along Grand Arcade. Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, Russell Loveland, senior portfolio director at Landsec, said: “Zara is the leading brand for global powerhouse Inditex, and their commitment to St David’s is a sign of the strength of Cardiff and St David’s. Their market leading approach to new product and customer experience is sure to be exceptionally well-received by our guests when they open this summer.”
