Residents in several communities in Ogun and Lagos who now live in fear as a result of attacks from hoodlums who took the advantage of the coronavirus lockdown imposed on both states to rob now formed vigilante groups to protect themselves against the miscreants. The hoodlums were reported to have looted shops and houses carting away various valuable items and robbing residents of their money.
Affected communities in Ogun State include Ijoko, Sango Ota, Ayepe, Ilepa, Ibogun, Itori and Agbado while Ajao Estate, Abule Egba, Iju, Agege, Alimosho, Alagbado were reported to have been affected too.
Robbery Reports are coming in from, Alagbado, Agbado, ijaiye, Abule Egba, Agege, Ogba, Akute, Ota, Sango.
The residents turned to Vigilante, to secure the area. Are we on our own now? 💔
