Saudi Arabia Records 70 New Cases of Coronavirus, Bringing the Total in the country to 344

Friday, Saudi Arabia has recorded a total of 70 new cases of the coronavirus. This additional figure has brought the country’s total case to 344.

Saudi Arabia’s health ministry revealed that some of the new cases are linked to people attending social occasions. Eleven of the new patients had arrived from Morocco, India, Jordan, the Philippines, Britain, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.

These people have been moved directly from the airport to quarantine, which authorities said has proven effective against the spread of the virus in the country.

Authorities explain further that 58 cases were linked to contact with other patients and attending social events, such as weddings. While 8 of the 344 patients have recovered and two are in critical condition.
