PIERS MORGAN and Susanna Reid had quite the reception when they returned to Good Morning Britain today.
The dynamic Good Morning Britain duo have been absent from screens for six week overs the summer holidays, but retuned to a rapturous applause from their loyal followers.
“It’s good to be back, isn’t it,” smiled Piers Morgan, 52, though Susanna Reid, 46, admitted she had her reservations.
“It’s really good to be back,” she beamed. “I wasn’t expecting to say that.”
Piers quipped: “I wasn’t expecting to be back.”
A third cried: “Great to have you both back,” which was followed by: “Great to see you back Piers!”
GMB viewers were divided over Piers and Susanna’s replacements over the past six weeks after Jeremy Kyle, Richard Madeley and veteran Eamonn Holmes filled their boots.
Jeremy’s performance fell flat with most viewers – from the shuffling of his papers to his lacklustre grilling of politicians – while Richard went down a storm with many calling for the former This Morning host to take the reigns full time.
