JUST IN: Soldiers ‘killed’ and others injured in train crash in Finland

A number of soldiers have been killed and others injured after a train crash in southern Finland. it is being reported.

The crash happened in the town of Raseborg, about 50 miles southwest of the capital Helsinki.

The victims reportedly were soldiers and Finland’s defence minister Jussi Niinisto tweeted that day “had started with grim news” and “I feel grief”.

Finnish news agency FNB said the injured were taken to hospitals in the capital Helsinki, and in Raseborg, about 53 miles southwest of there.

 Finnish media said the train had collided with a military lorry in Raseborg.
