Donald Trump Delivers 4000 Ventilators to New York State to Strengthen Its Capacity to Fight COVID-19

Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus which is currently ravaging the world with over 441,000 people infected and 19,784 recorded confirmed deaths globally.

The pandemic that started in Wuhan China has so far infected 74,386 and killed 7,503 people in Italy. In Spain, 47,610 people have been infected with 3,434 deaths. However, 9,362 people have recovered from the disease in Italy and 5,367 in Spain. Ironically Italy and Spain recorded more coronavirus cases than China where it all started – hitting Spain so bad as the number of infected have overtaken China. According to Spanish Foreign Minister, Arancha Gonzalez Laya 47 million people in Spain have been asked to stay at home to avoid more infections and deaths.

In Iran which is one of the worst hit countries in Middle east, Coronavirus has infected 27,017 people, 2,077 deaths and 9,625 have reported to have recovered as at Wednesday March 25th, 2020.

United States have like every other nation heavily hit by the current pandemic has been working hard to stem down the spread of the deadly virus. Efforts which is being hampered by lack of ventilators, protective equipment and other medical supplies.


In New York City, thousands of new COVID-19 infections are now being reported in New York every day. As of Wednesday morning, there have been at least 30,811 confirmed cases of the coronavirus discovered in the state, including more than 17,856 in New York City. At least 285 people with COVID-19 have died in the state, which has the largest number — more than half — of confirmed cases in the U.S.

Nationwide, more than 55,000 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed across all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and three U.S. territories. At least 809 people have died from the virus in the country.

Donald Trump recognizing this challenge being experienced by New York City and state delivered 4000 ventilators to New York City and State to help them fight the pandemic. Trump made this known through his twitter handle today Wednesday.
