Commercial Bike Operator Allegedly Hanged to death By a Man In Agbado Community, Ekiti State

A man identified to be a commercial bike operator has allegedly been hanged by a man named Toyin inside a farm settlement in Agbado community, Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

One of the residents of the community, Ajayi Seun, told journalists that the suspect had called his victim, a commercial motorbike rider, at their bike park in the community and secured his service to transport him to his farm located in front of a company owned by a top politician in the state before Toyin, according to Ajayi and many other sources, forcefully overpowered his victim and hanged him with a rope and dumped his corpse inside an already dug grave in the farm settlement.

Speaking with journalists on the alleged murder, Ajayi said: “Toyin was said to have gone to the terminal of the commercial motorbike operators in
Agbado yesterday morning and engaged the service of his victim to convey him to his farm which is located in front of the shoe making factory of the popular politician and former Senator, Gbenga Aluko.

“People who were at the factory told us that the bubble burst when they heard agonising cry of Toyin’s victim repeatedly and decided to check what had happened. It was then they allegedly met Toyin thrusting the corpse of his victim into the freshly dug hole, apprehended him and later handed him over to the nearest police station in the area.

“The police had since arrested Toyin with the corpse and taken
them away to their station,” he said, adding that the deceased’s heavily pregnant wife had also reports at the station when informed about the tragedy that befell her husband.

When contacted on phone to confirm the incident, Police Public
Relations Officer to the Ekiti State Command, Caleb Ikechukwu, said he was yet to be briefed on the development

Ikechukwu promised to disclose how the incident happened to journalists as soon as he is briefed by the Divisional Police Officer in Gbonyin council area.
